Abstract:

An investigation was conducted on chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) genotype JG-62 to study the effect of different abiotic factors on the incidence of dry root rot. Maximum disease incidence was observed at 35__degreesignC temperature while minimum disease incidence was observed at 20__degreesignC. More disease incidence was observed at low moisture conditions while low at high moisture conditions. Soil pH also influenced the disease incidence. Maximum disease incidence was observed at pH 4.5 while minimum disease incidence was observed at pH 7.5. The results are useful for managing the incidence of dry root rot in chickpea.
